Use the SEARCH function toward the right of this page, above....the world is your oyster!

As a pleasant alternative, just scroll down, looking for relavent threads.

The search engine on here sucks. Let people ask their own questions. A post from 2007 might not be the most relevant answer today.

You're having trouble? Advanced functions can be very specific - this board's software is very, very widely used.

You could start your research with this post, which if you'd scrolled down you would have seen. (It's still on the front page and not from 2007): http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=683628. This question -- Performance Exhaust, cat-back, there are a number of options -- comes up a lot, and there are a lot of threads about it, hence the search suggestion. Also, do a search on YouTube; there are a lot of before/after videos posted there. Different people prefer different characteristics (loud, or throaty, or burble), so hearing the sound yourself is important.

Really?

Search

Performance Exhaust

Showing results 1 to 25 of 999
Search took 0.42 seconds.

Last two weeks

Showing results 1 to 25 of 52
Search took 0.07 seconds. Search: Keyword(s): performance, exhaust

Maybe the engine doesn't suck & its just operator incompetence? Outside of new people to the forum there are generally two kinds of posters asking questions. People who have searched & have further or clarification questions & those who feel entitled to be spoon fed the answers.

Ya gotta love it. Refusing to use search seems to be the theme of the day. There's a separate, second post on the front page of this forum also asking about a cat-back exhaust for a 335: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=692367. That poster is also getting the "do a search" advice.

Quite naturally - the volume of info available through SEARCH is impressive. 'Course, young players might not know it's there....

Cal - if you don't like a thread where someone asks a question then don't post in it. What helps keeps boards active and lively is people asking questions, even if they were asked before. If people didn't repeat questions, and get answers we would have really old threads and poor info.

Tell ya Furb - a fruitful search is much more informative than any thread. Like I said, your garden variety enquirer might not know the info's there - gotta assume not - so....

I have found a large number of "You Tube" vids, search under BMW performance exhaust, under videos, you can get a decent idea of the general sound.. A lot of vendors (borla, can't remember the others) will turn up there as well.

Its a matter of what YOUR ears like, and want, hard to tell from just 'post's' what the opinions or sound is really like.

Enjoy..

It seems like the majority of the posts I click on - because they are topics I'm interested in - have no content, just some guy with 7xxx posts going learn to search! Kinda pointless board in my opinion. I can search Google...

I've tried over and over to use the search feature on here. Yes, it brings up all sorts of stuff, but being a noob, I don't know what I'm looking for half of the time. I don't know the right key words to describe the part or problem or solution I'm having. Search is great if you know exactly what you are looking for and you have the time to read through 23 pages of which 90% are not relevant to what you are interested in...

Perhaps your search criteria is off target.

I did a very simple search - here's my first try. I immediately see several threads on PE Exhaust vs others....notice my search criteria above the blue bar titled THREAD/THREAD STARTER. What's not to like?

Just spec this forum, ask for threads or posts to be displayed, and enter search criteria.
