Unwanted / Unneeded Options

For those of you who didn't order your car to spec, but bought straight from dealer's lot, which extra options did you get with your car that you probably won't want to pay for your next car?

Love the Premium package & Navigation system, but These are the options I paid for that I can live without (& don't want to pay for next time):

$550 Mineral White Metallic paint, I can't tell from reg white
$500 Heated front seats, not needed in hot Houston TX
$350 Sirius Satellite radio, my opinion is that Sirius music sound quality really suck

I wish I could delete the Sirius option from the Technology Package.

Edit: oops, you were asking about non-ordered cars. Sorry.

That's weird that your dealer had a
Car with heated seats in Texas.

Parking package. More specifically, the self-parking functionality. Not too bothered about the car parallel parking itself; great innovative feature and my friends still go "wow" when I mention that the car can park itself, but it just seem a lot quicker to do the parking bits myself...

I would keep the PDC and RVC as separate options.

ps - not sure if the package terminology is the same here as in the US.

Just about everyone I know in these parts of TX has heated seats. I can't remember the last car I had without heated seats.

Now, heated steering wheel and rear seats are something I wouldn't hardly ever get to use. Therefor, I didn't order it.

Same as the handling package, don't have the type of roads that would demand or even allow this option to make the car more enjoyable. I drove a loaner with the handling package on I30, between Ft Worth and Arlington and then back and it almost beat me to death! The road is cement and badly in need of repairs. The joints above overpasses made the car feel like it ran over something and and the tire noise was just overbearing.

One option that intrigues the heck out of me is the self parking. I didn't order it because I can't recall the last time I had to parallel park.

(also in Texas)

Cooled seats should be the rage here. I'm a little sad they weren't included in the package. But heated seats are always nice. They're great on road trips, and pleasure cruises at night with the windows down they keep you from getting too cold. The heated wheel is nice for the same reason.

My wife demanded the heated back seats, so I have the heated wheel. Probably wouldn't have ordered it myself, but nice to have anyway.

Is parallel parking still required in driver's license tests? Would make that a snap.

Isn't Sirius included in the Premium Package?

"Cooled seats should be the rage here."

Yep, I miss the AC cooling seats on wife's Lincoln. I use that feature hundred times more often than the heated seats...

Absolutely!!! Heated seats, only use them until they warm up your rear and then shut them off.

Cool seats, you use them for as long as your A/C is on and here in Texas it's almost always. Only time you turn it off is when you get out of the car.

This last item almost turned my wife away from the 328i, after having cooled seats in our last two cars (Lexus). I still have all summer to listen to her complaining...

PS - We're both retired and can only use one car, since we fly (ugh) for any long trip.

Next time, I can live without these: Premium Pkg, Tech Pkg, 19" wheel/tire Pkg, Sport Auto, Harman Kardon, Heated seats...this is my first BMW so I splurged and I'm living with it.
