Has anyone given this tune a try?

http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18035

The price looks great, not too drastic and easily reversible.

Looking to see if anyone has any actual day-to-day on-road experience.

Sounds perfect for me. At that price, no reason not to. I am used to driving a manual, so I am hoping for quicker drivetrain response. Interested in whether I can feel the difference as the car seems to has so much power.

Rajeek, I should have known you had that mod, just got lost in your sig!

BTW, I can't imagine the reaction to your car when you go to the dealer. Don't they automatically assume your engine has been modded as well? Do they give you a hard time about the mods?

I am approaching 50k miles fast, probably will skip the dealer after that, even though I have CPO.

Since it's relatively easy to take off/put on, anyone done any timed runs? I'd love to see if it improves 0-60 and 60-80 times any

The tune adds a conservative 2psi increase over stock boost with stable AFR's and timing. I know for a fact that this tune increases all aspects of acceleration but unfortunately lack the solid numbers to back it up.

Yeah, I figured w/ that kind of boost, it would definitely increase the seat-of-your-pantsometer acceleration... and sometimes that's good enough to be satisfied with it. But numbers would be nice. I'm recalling some Dinan-tune issues folks were having where they'd take it back to the track and wouldn't notice any benefits or would only see like a .2 sec increase in speeds... and that tune cost $$$. Yet, they did feel like it made a huge difference after getting it done, but the numbers didn't back it up.

Looks like they no longer list this as Beta as an FYI.

Hoping removing Beta will get more interest in this tune. Unless it picks up we will not be getting a Stage II.

Lets go guys!

I think they've sold quite a few of these, don't know what type of numbers they need to sell to justify Stage 2 development...? I bet they removed Beta because the tune has been out long enough now so they're comfortable it works as described without issue.

Pulled this from 5post. Camera car is n63 tune and exhaust mod apparently. Other car is Dinan Stage 2. Take it for what you will.

Bit confused. Isn't Dinan stage 2 supposed to give like over 500hp so definitely more/faster than the other tune?

Theoretically yes. It also depends on how and when that hp is applied. One would think Dinan should be faster, however assuming all the stuff in here is true JB applies their tune much better.

For the cost of Dinan, there is no dyno run? That could be part of the package.

This video cannot be real. For a car to pull that quickly on a car of similar weight it would need to have at least 50 more horsepower... Probably even more for cars of this weight.

25whp gain and 34wtq is a pretty solid increase... Coming from a 500whp car you will definitely be able to feel the difference with a gain like this.

Remove the charcoal filters, a better flowing exhaust (maybe golf tee mod?) you should pickup a few more ponies.
