2001 X5 ABS Failure

Warning light ABS Brake came on. Brakes work fine, F & R pads, sensors, rotors replaced about 10k miles ago.

Speed Sensor problem?
Do I need to get codes?
What are possible issues?

When the ABS light is on it means the ABS system is not active, so if you are driving on a slick or icy street that mean the system will not automatically pump the brakes to avoid a wheel from locking up and the car from skidding. If you never driven a car without ABS get the ABS system fix. If you're an old timer and drove cars without ABS you will know what to do when the car starts to skid.

Test it out!
Find a clear area like an empty parking lot. Drive at a slow speed and see if you can lock up the wheels...
