non-metallic paint will be the death of me!

I'm a perfectionist and my Jet Black non-metallic paint may eventually drive me insane. It's so hard to keep in pristine condition, needs un-ending attention and maintenance. And I park it in a garage every night and drive during the day in California.

If I don't wipe of a bird dropping in 24 hours it will leave a mark and I'm actively trying to Zaino this thing to remove years old swirl marks from the previous owners detail jobs using an orbital buffer.

Anyway, just a rant. It is such a deep and wet color, but I don't think I'll every buy a non-metallic paint again on a daily driver.

I owned a black car... once. Never again. Definitely not for the OCD inflicted!

Black looks gorgeous when kept sharp.
Everyone should own a black car once. Just once!

I had mine years ago. Never again.

My first car was black and they do look good when clean... except for the fact that they never stay clean.

By the way, I thought John Voight spelled his name J-O-N?

I thought the jet black on my 325 and (previous) 745 was bad, but it's nothing compared to my A7 in brilliant black... You just look at it the wrong way and swirls form.

This. There is no circumstance that could ever lead me to purchase another black car. Ever.

Alpine White rocks!! There is only one color that can override by commitment to AW. Having owned an Imola Red ZHP I am ruined to it. And I have found the Melbourne Red now offered on the new F30 to be close enough to Imola Red that I would probably choose that for an F30.

My last bimmer was black. I loved it. You definitely have to keep it clean. lol Mine always looked sharp even up until her death.. When the cops and firemen were on the seen of my accident.. They were checking out my black bimmer...saying "is that your car? Nice". Even with it being totaled they appreciated its beauty. It had a weekend road trip dirt on it too.

Now I try to keep a spray bottle of water and paper towel in the car for the bird poop. Quick wash down of soap & water.
