Congrats! Start socking away a few grand a year in a 529 college saving account. If you spread it out it's not that bad, plus you'll earn some over time. Finding a good plan isn't easy. The one in NC is about average on the rank, but the returns have been pretty lame imo.

Thanks everybody for the well wishes and congrats. I went absolutely nuts after she showed me the test [Alcohol fueled the rampage as well]. She had just said to me about three days ago 'what if we can't get pregnant?'

I'm like 'Then there's somethin wrong with you. My seed is alpha.'
heheh, well anyways, I'll be seein him or her in eight n a half months.

Better to multiple that number by at least 6. The only reason you think it gets better is the kids have worn you down and brainwashed you by then. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

Instead of mods for your car, now think "how soon can I get junior into karting?"

My son is 13... They aren't so bad when they are old enough to hold a conversation with u, play, get around, pretty much be self sufficient... it also helps that I'm pretty much just a kid myself

Congratulations. I remember that day. I was in shock for a few days, in denial for a few months, then you start to come around after they're born. Give it a few months after they're born and you wouldn't wish your life any other way.

And here a tip from another daddy, take it for what it's worth. Don't feel like you have to give anything up. That's how you lose yourself and resent your family. Instead, incorporate them into who you are. In the context of our beloved E46s, get the appropriate seat and take them around with you. Fatherhood/parenthood is a lot easier than presented sometimes, and will all fall in line with your mindset at the get-go.

Good luck. You have some fun times ahead. Okay, maybe not the first couple months where they have to feed every couple hours. That truly did suck balls.

x2. I agree completely , hopefully i'll continue that thought process of 'this is what babys do, im not going to kiss a shotgun' when it comes to the first couple months. Your baby looks very content, and that's all I wanna see in mine, a big smile.

"Racing Seats" are a must for your new future BMW driver (and I liked the Recaros best on features/safety than other forward facing seats. Rear facing, we liked Chicco much better)
