Extended warranty from a 3rd party (Auto Warranty Agency)

I am considering on purchasing a 3rd party warranty for my BMW - just want to have a little peace of mind with the warranty.

Any owners who have had a great experience with their warranties - please put in your suggestions. I am considering auto warranty agency as when i took it to the dealership they said that a BMW warranty will cost me around 3500 for 2-3 years and upto 100000 miles but will not cover majority of the things that it does for a CPO.

I have an 07 328i with 58500 miles.
The following are the details of the items that are not covered by the warranty I am planning to consider

"normal maintenance item including
tires,
wheels,
struts,
shocks,
brake shoes or pads,
rotors or drums,
belts,
hoses,
filters,
fluids,
lubricants,
clutch,
pressure plate or clutch release bearing and
tune-up items.

Exhaust or emission parts,
electronic equipment including sound reproduction components,
wiring harness,
clock,
television and
navigation equipment - although while talking on the phone they said that they do cover the idrive.

Any body parts,
interior parts,
trim,
glass,
paint,
air bag system and
keyless entry/anti-theft."

I had a car inspection done recently and then filled the form and got the approval from these guys - they said it will cost me somewhere close to 2600$ and it has a 0 deductible and all i have to pay is sales tax.

Please let me know if any one has a good experience with AutoWarrantyAgency or some other private warranty agency

Thanks

Sarathi

What is the length of the warranty period? I have an extended warranty from www.TierOneWarranty.com, which is based in Houston. It is for five years, 72,000 miles from inception. It is an exclusionary warranty that is more comprehensive than the one you are looking at, but it has a $100 deductible.

I called them but they say that they don't offer to the public
It has to be through a dealership or agency
2400 is a good price

Whatever you do, just do your homework first because a lot of those third party warranty places are terrible. I found this out when I was looking for my 3 a few mos ago.

Yes, I purchased through a broker. Did they offer any recommendations?

Many years ago I had a warranty from third party. When it was time to replace my transmission they had the garage get one from the JUNK YARD. When I asked why, the referred me to a line that said "We will replace parts with like parts, at our discretion". Reading this you would think that if you had brand X they would find a rebuilt or new brand X - no no, it meant that if you had a broken part they would find a part and if it was broken then it was a "like part". So just watch out for that. Also, when they said on the phone that it includes iDrive, please ask them to show where - because reading above it looks like it wouldn't:

electronic equipment including sound reproduction components,
Clock
Television (screen on the iNav)
Navigation equipment
