E53 Wing mirror assembley

Does anyone know where there is diagram of how to disassemble and reassemble a wing mirror on an E53 X5 (2002). I have replaced a smashed mirror back onto the plastic backing but cannot see how the mirror fits back into the housing. A lorry smashed it off the car so not sure if I am missing a part that clips onto the back of the plastic mirror backing and then allows you to fit it to the motor arms that allow up, down, left and right movement. I can find plenty of pictures of the mirror in parts but none of how this fits back in and if I am missing a ring or something similar that clips onto the back.

Hopefully the instructions on how to remove the mirror glass will show you enough details as to how everything goes together...and you can see the actual mounts and guides on the back of the mirror glass and the motor assembly in the 2nd pic below when I installed Euro wide angle/EC/heated mirrors on my 06 e53:

I think it comes as part of item #1 in the part database diagram because it is not listed separately anywhere you look. And when I did a google search using the BMW part nbr for item #1...I found the part being sold separately at this website:

I found the website and image using google and the part nbr for item #1 below:
