Buzzing sound coming from rear passenger side

I'm getting a weird buzzing sound from somewhere in the passenger side rear seat. When I am on the highway, I can hear it more, sounds as if there is a bee or something back there.
Anyone know, what it could be ?
I just had my summer tires installed. Could it be a balancing problem ?

Are you talking about the fuel pump? It is in the fuel tank, located under the back seat.

Sounds like fuel pump. Pumps last from 6-12 years usually and it's as much a time thing as miles that wear it out. they get noisy when near death. Run below 1/4 tank much? When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? Some people replace the pump after 10 years and 100k miles as preventive maintenance. When it fails you're stranded. bmaparts.com discount code specE30, or something like that. If they have it for your model.

Or..... just thinking I've seen an unconnected connecter under the seat there on my car. It's normal to be unconnected, but it could be vibrating with the new tire setup. Just another thought....

Rear seat pulls up pretty easy - put your hand in the crack and pull up/forward.

It only happens on the highway. If I drive above 100km/hr. Fuel tank has never been below half for a few months.

What if you rev up to like 6k rpm while sitting still? I'd think if it's fuel pump it would do it whenever rpms got high and fuel demand was high. If not, then could be related to the work on the wheels.
