The new to the US BMW X1 will arrive at BMW dealers in the fall of 2012 as a 2013 model year. Get your X1 28i with either sDrive (RWD) or xDrive (AWD) or get the US exclusive I6 N55 powered X1 35i dDrive.

Best Phone to match I Drive and Phone

Is there a current list of the best phones to use with the idrive, both for music and phone options, handsfree Bluetooth and so on. I am about to get a new one and My X 1 will be here in around 4 weeks. Want the one that works the best with X1 I Drive Setup

Thanks, Chris

If you have your car's VIN, you can use this tool to find out exactly what your car supports on a variety of different phones.

I wouldn't pick a phone based on iDrive. I would pick the phone you like most.

Another amazing link for me to check out, thanks.
Is it me or odd that the I-Phone seems to less of a match than a BlackBerry, seems like more things could be done with the Blackberry phones. But in most pics they show a Apple ?

Also anyone know if you can use the keyboard on the Blackberry with the I Drive to type things into various programs?

Chris

That's weird, there has been much discussion on the forum about email and how to set it up with the iPhone 4/5 but the website given above shows that they are not compatible.
