Disaster averted!

Ecstuning this product was a great idea, but please reconsider your choices in materials. This magnetic drain plug snapped in half inside the block as I was tightening it.

Works like a fuse my man. Sacrificed itself to keep you from stripping out the threads in the pan. Now that'd be a problem. FYI, don't worry about any chunks or pieces of metal in your oil pan. They're not going anywhere. If they're real small they'll get thru the oil pickup tube screen, but then the oil filter will keep them out of the moving parts.

I installed it last oil change. Just bummed it lasted as long as it did.

That's the torque spec for an oem drain plug. What's the spec provided by the mfr. of the magnetic plug?
