Shadow line trim....bumper???

Are reffering to the window trim? OR the impact strip plastic that goes around the whole bumper?

If you're reffering to the bumper plastic trim, use Mothers Back to Black... I use it on my front and rear M impacts strips and it lasts quite a long time. I've also used it on my 97 540i with good results.

Go over the rubber with a rag soaked in mineral spirits. That will take off the oxidation. Then go over it with something like Back to Black.
