It was capped at $500/payment, but still a good deal even with a few months of interest.

It's a great deal, too bad for me that it hasn't started it. I think it's in the pipeline per my client advisor. However, that can always change. I beleive BMWFS is running the promotion, not the dealership which I had originally believed.

Have a price- What do you guys think?

So I test drove two cars today. The first car was the one that was priced $50,999. It drove well; no engine whining, no pulling to any side, no real issues that I could pick up on.

Then I drove the 7er that had 44,000 miles logged in. They were asking 48,500 for this vehicle but my advisor hinted that they were willing to negotiate the price more on this vehicle than the others. I started the car and the egine was idiling roughly (the car was shaking), was about to drive it off the lot and the reduced engine power warning light came on. Bad sign, i drove it around for a few miles just for the heck of it. So I guess my decision was a lot easier to make or it was made for me

So the bottom line- I talked the sales manager down to 49,800. What do guys think? Thanks so much!

No offense, but that doesn't seem like much of a discount. Take 4-5K off, then I think you have deal.

Thanks for your input, no offense taken In my time researching, I felt that the car was somewhat fairly priced to begin with. I could be wrong about this, however many of the cars that I looked at were priced higher given about the same mileage and options.

The first dealer that I went to had a 7er same year, same everything, except the color was jet black instead of the camera package it had the drivers assistance package. It was actually identical to the other car. The mileage on this one was 23, 400. They were asking
$54,913. I could not even get the guy close to 50K. Like I said maybe I'm not a great negotiator.

Members please chime in and let me know if I can do a lot better, as in 4-5k less. Thank you, time is running short.

OP, are your options limited because of market/desire for xdrive option? I think 49,800 is fair if that vehicle is difficult to come by in your market. Also, based on other pricing I've seen, w/ cpo and it's mileage, it's not bad at all..

There's usually a maximum, when I purchased my 09 last year they made the first three payments, up to $1500.. not sure if that's changed.

Hi Aom, I was hoping you would chime in. We live in NY so the xdrive is preferabble, and if my wife is driving the car then it would be a must. I live around the 10601 zip code, I don't see too much in terms of inventory within a 300 mile radius. I just don't want to pay this price if you guys believe I can get a deal thats even 1000-2000 less. Thanks

Cly, I think 50k is a good price. Let's figure, the CPO is worth 4k (or so), so if you took that out, it'd be 46k with about 30k miles for an 2010 with xdrive (not too common here in SoCal). Then consider the color option (if it's something you like to begin with). Hmmm, the question then is what is xdrive worth to you. I just took a look at autotrader and there really weren't that many xdrives out there in your area--at all and there's the rub. They probably know they've got a pretty unique car (as a percent of what's available in that market).

The low mileage helps too, yeah I'd say it's a fair deal. If I absolutely wanted xdrive, I'd put a price on it, then factor it in.

I don't know if X-Drive is a limiting factor, in the Chicago area almost all the 750's are X-Drives. Might be similar on the east coast, it seemed to be in NJ?

Just a data point, in February I paid $50K for a 750Li X-Drive with M-Sport, 20" wheels, Conv Pkg, Camera Pkg, Lux Seating, HUD, Leather Dash, Prem Sound from JMK in NJ. The sticker when new over $107K.

But the car had $43K miles, your car has significantly less miles.

Similar cars in the Chicago they are were asking $58K and they were selling back then. Since then, prices seem to have softened a bit, so you probably can get them down $1K-2k, but you do not sound like you have time on your side.

Cly, actually, it's interesting, the Northeast prices seem really high... maybe I should move my car there and sell it for a profit, HAHA. 1) There were no Li M-sport options to speak of under 60k for 2010+, at all. 2) There were only 22 results in a 300 mile radius to your zip. 3) something like only 2 were x-drive. 4) They were pretty much all asking over 50k.

In that perspective, it seems even more so like <50k is a good deal.

Wow, that is such a good price! I can't even find a vehicle that is equipped like that around here. It seems the imventory around here is somewhat sparse to say the least.

It could be a profitable business Everything is expensive around here, I guess everyone is trying to get there cut. When I first began looking, I remember seeing more 7ers availble on the west coast, but it's just not feasible for me to go beyond a 250 mile radius car shopping.

Based on what I've seen, if I were in your shoes, with the immediate need you have, coupled with the inventory in your area and the fact that it would be the wife's primary car, I'd probably take the 49,8 price. If they can throw in something else, great, but otherwise, it's a fair deal.

Another option is to do a nationwide search and see what might even be out there to begin with. You might find that that same car is going for 57k in Seattle or that that same car isn't even on the market at all, anywhere else. That'd make your decision easier I'd think.

By the same token, if (let's say) the Chicago region has 40 of these on the market right now and it's going for 45k... then you've got something to think about.

Talking Final Details of Purchase:

Hey guys, I just wanted to thank everyone for their advice and input during my car replacement ordeal. After all the dust settled this is what the final price was: $48,300 (they dropped another $1500), I will have the first 2 months paid off by BMWFS(BMW FS is actually running the promotion w/ a cap of $750 until the end of May) and my finance rate is 0.9% for 60 months. Overall I'm really happy with the price and sales experience. I will post more details about the dealership and my sales advisor, I highly recommend this person if anyone is in the NY city, Westchester area.

I would like extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those who participated, it made my journey a lot easier. I will post pics and dealer info soon.

Congrats! That's definitely a fair price for a CPO for what I've seen. Enjoy your ride and can't wait to see pics!

Need Help ASAP: Pricing on 2010 CPO 750Li xdrive- $49,800

Coincidentally, I traded my CPO 2008 535xi in for a CPO 2010 750 Li with xDrive. Love the extra room. Nice trade up. Feels like a big car...& it is! Not able to maneuver as easily through traffic in the 7 but it moves with an extra 100HP. The 7 is not as sporty as the 5. More bells and whistles including nav, cameras, power trunk, massage front seat, lane warnings, tons of extra passenger room! OMG...it's a "house" back there! :-)

First thing I did on the 7 was 35% legal tint the windows & put on some 20" Beyren mesh silver wheels with Toyo tires, and Ming mirror gloss finish the black sapphire paint. Felt like an "old man" car otherwise. I miss the 5, but ultimately was glad I traded up. Price $50K CPO is an excellent deal on a $100K original sticker car. That said, I would not own a 7 as my first BMW.

Nice Job! Could you have tinted the front windows too, or is that a no-no there? Or is it tinted?
