Only took a few weeks to receive check

I submitted my BMWCCA rebate form a week after buying my new X3. You have to submit the form within 60 days of purchase. Last week I got my check for $500. It took longer the last time I submitted a rebate request. This is a good deal just for being a club member. I think the only issue is you have to have been a member at least a year before being eligible. The lesson is if you are thinking of buying a bimmer in a year or more, pay the $35 or $40 and join BMWCCA now.

Nice - just sent mine in a week ago - 4th car now I am getting a rebate on and the BMWCCA membership has saved me $1000's more than it cost - anyone that may ever buy a BMW needs to get signed up!

Just checked my status online and it says that the online thing has been broken since January, so guess I will just cross my fingers and hope to get it in a few weeks!

The monthly magazine alone is worth the price of the membership, but they sponser all kinds of events, driving schools, tech sessions at the dealerships and deals with dent wizard and other things and of couse the 500-1000 check you get when buying a new car!

Nice - have a blast - you will get your nice new X3 dirty for the first time on the off road course!

I am a long time bimmerfest member, but it has been for my e46 then my e93 cars and X5, the X3 is new to me also - 2 weeks old this week and I love it a ton!

And take a look at what activities are being sponsored by your local chapter in Tampa:
http://www.bmwcca.org/node/2336

There are four chapters in Florida, so lots going on down that way.

And the National Capital Chapter Spring Tour May 16th-20th to Asheville, NC is happening right now! Hey - maybe you can hook up with them after you pick up your X3...they are driving the Tail of the Dragon!!
http://www.bmwcca.org/node/5451

Oh man am I jealous...

Then there are the discounts at dealer parts counters and other retailers...

The $500-$1000 rebate is maybe the least of it....

Hey...enjoy that new X3!

Contratulations! Excellent taste in color: mine is space grey metal too. I need to take a new photo of it to share. I swapped the grills out with black ones and tinted those windows down (you know how the sun can get here!).

Hey what do they tell you about break-in for the engine when you do a PDC delivery? I'm guessing you aren't gentle on it I'm specifically curious about highway driving. I'm taking a roadtrip to south florida next weekend and am near, but not past the 1200 mile mark as per the manual. Do they tell you that you are all good or do they say no cruise control until 1200 when driving home?

Have made a mental note to contact Audio Itch to have the tinting installed ASAP!

Regarding breaking the car in the only stipulations that the PDC stated were (for the first 1200 miles):

Don't go over 100 MPH

Don't rev the engine over 4500 RPMs

Other than that, have fun!

Luckily, at the PDC, they gave us their own X3s to drive, so I could break it in properly!

Ok, well I wont concern myself with putting the cruise control on then on my trip since I dont plan on crossing either of those barriers. Audio itch is where I had my tint done too.
