Pics of new ride

The car was just delivered to my middle man in Germany and after the required demo wait period (I purchased under a special DoD Demo program) I will get the car in a few months. I actually prefer the demo wait period because it gives BMW Pentagon carsales time to fix anything wrong with the car before they ship it to me.
Car is new 740LI
Exec package
Rear entertainment
drivers assistance
M sport
Upgraded 20"
I dont plan on doing much to it. Lowering it is out of the question due to the ridiculous speed bumps where I live. Will definitely tint equally on sides and rear. I might add a ACS spoiler. I saw someone on here did a black gloss vinyl wrap on the roof and thought that looked pretty nice but Im not sure how that would look on silver but its something I am considering. Any other ideas are much appreciated.

Great ride, I'd say enjoy it but waiting a few months before you get your hands on her? Would be devastating for me

Congrats!

I almost got the same color on an identical car as what I have now sans cold weather pkg, only issue is the car had the B&O stereo, which I thought was a monumental waste of money.

Does that dealership only cater to our Military or can anyone walk in and buy a car?

Again congrats, she's a beauty!

You have to hold a US military/Dod civilian or DoD Contractor ID card and have deployement orders. And I think your's is the car that is making me seriously consider the roof wrap. Is it removable? (I never did wraps.) I dont want anything too flashy but I do want the car to have a little flash to make it stand out. Do you mind me asking what the wrap cost?

@beamlord: The wait is kind of a mental killer but I have a company car so Im really not in a rush, plus I know most of these cars are pretty reliable new, but I want all quirks gone before it gets to the middle east. So letting the dealer have it for a few months is worth it plus they knock off alot as a dsicount..on top of the discount Im already getting. Im paying a ridicously low price for a new car. With no packages added the car was 63k new.

Thanks F01driver. I will not lie. I think the car looks better in a darker color ( I initially had imperial blue as my color) but there are several reasons I went for silver.
Im in the middle east..its hot. I mean like 130 degrees kinda hot.
Its sandy ..like sand storm sandy. I would have to wash it almost everyday.
The M sport package gets rid of the chrome trim and I think the lighter colors like white and silver look better with the shadowline trim. I think it shows the lines off better since there is no chrome trim to do it, if thats makes sense.

Congrats; looks great!

Interesting FAQ's: http://pentagoncarsales.com/bmw/faq.php

What do you guys pay; Euro Del pricing, invoice pricing or below?

Remember to take off the protective blue plastic from the dead pedal, when you get it!

@dbs Im guessing we pay way below invoice. The car was 67,500 with the military discount. They then took off another 5000 for the right to keep it for 3 months as a demo. So I ended up paying 62,500 without the add on packages. The awesome part is that this same car sells for about 130k here where I live so I can keep it for a year or two and still probably sell it at a profit.

Love the silver! With all of the white and black cars on this forum, it's great to see some variety. I like how it shows off the M-Sport trim.

Congrats OP.
I actually dig the silver. Absolutely regret not having rear entertainment, but I can't have everything can I? Agree with so many white/blk combo. Just glad that you guys don't live near me.

Do they use it while they keep it, or just keep it parked and you get it with a few miles? If there's someone actually racking up miles during this demo period, I'd personally rather pay the 5k and get it w/ 0 miles. (or get a CPO and save 60k, by then the "newness" factor won't be an issue).

@aom The demo works as such. They get to keep the car until 3 months or 3000kms are put on the car, whichever comes first. You have to realize that mostly the car will be driven by management and only pre approved buyers. As i mentioned, i dont mind this trade off, because they have a BMW master mechanic onsite that will fix any issues before they send it. Also, this was the only way I could get them to send me the car to my location. Normally they would only send to the US but with the demo car they can register it and sent it outside the US. Its complicated.

I look at every purchase (why I don't lease) as something I'm going to keep long term (even though usually, I get bored within a couple of years and start looking to sell). It's a personal thing, so the idea that it's going to be a demo is kind of scary to me, personally. I've seen leased and bought cars treated great and treated poorly. I've never seen a demo treated great (the same goes for loaners and of course driving school cars). But it looks like you're already talking about planning to sell it based on your situation so that would make sense and if it's at a profit, then I'd probably do the same thing! That said, the 3 months would be brutal for me, you sir have the patience of a saint

Off topic--I was an army brat growing up (lived in a few places) and my dad was pretty high up there in Transcom after he retired from active duty. So basically if any equipment or personal items (ie cars) needed to be shipped across the Pacific, it'd go through him. I was always surprised by how well they always treated people's stuff. I was also surprised by how many things people tried to ship in the trunks of their cars, which would ultimately get confiscated (we're not talking illegal stuff, just usually cleaning products, sometimes full gas cans, even military "memorobilia" haha).

Thanks for all the positive feedback on the color guys! I wasnt sure I was making the right move with glacial silver but that doubt has been erased . i do wish I had upgraded to the BnO stereo. question...what option gives you the back pull out tray on the back seats?

You were looking to buy the exact car that I posted?? Im a little lost. The car was just delivered appx 6 weeks ago to the BMW dealership to prep for show and then after three months it comes here. Did they say it was for sale?...Im definitely lost. When did you first see the car? I bought it under the demo program. Which means it wasnt even built until I signed the purchase order. Im really curious what you mean. Its supposed to be only for show for a few months and then it ships out to me. How were they going to sell you a car that isnt for sale? PM the details if you want. Anyway, how does it look in person? So what did you end up getting as far as packages and model?
On that note, Matthais Hammner is my sales guy there and he has been nothing but excellent. I was amazed at how easy they made it for me to get the car. My guess is your guy James gave you a sales pitch (that seems to have worked), the car was never for sale.
