Question Thoughts on a 2013 X5 35d Lease?

Hi all, I just joined the forum and this apparently is my first posting, after lurking around awhile. This forum rocks!
Anyways, I'm about to pull the trigger on leasing a 2013 X5 35d loaded with Executive Edition and Technology and Comfort Package (I'm in BC, Canada) for about $980 tax in for 48 months @ 1.9% annually (16,000km/yr allowed), and $11k upfront.
MSRP of the car is $77k and I know I'm getting a good discount from the dealer (friend). Fellow Canadians, does this sound reasonable and should I go ahead with it?
Please chime in!!

It would be interesting to hear some comments in US too. I did not lease but they sure push that leasing. To me it come out
about the same, what pay for 3 years vs what you would get on trading in 3 years.

That sounds amazing..and definitely something I'd never be able to get up here. I wish I lived down South.

I leased mine, MSRP $74,075, 12k miles a year, for $860/mo including taxes. Residual is roughly $39k.

Thanks for all your replies, guys.
Residual, in my case, is roughly $29k (39% after 48 mo. lease)
My dealer (and he's a sales manager) says the max. discount he can do is 5% on the X5.. Guess I should just stick with it or do you think there is more I can do?
Thanks again!

that 11k down is gone. Why put a downpayment on a lease?

That 11k includes freight (more than 2k) and pdi, 1k security deposit, etc.
Yeah I wish we had better deals like the ones you have down in the States but we're a very small market in comparison.
