Question No Audio from Phone?? - GS4

My car is equipped with that Y cable for iPhone’s. I recently upgraded my phone to the Galaxy S4, which cable do I need in order to play Pandora/Music in the car? I connected a usb to the car then to the phone but still no audio comes to the car, it just plays on the phone. I also connected it to Bluetooth with no success of audio playing.

Is there a different cable or adapter I need?

My car is a 2009 328xi

BT doesn't have a music profile in the 2009. You can use it to speak on the phone, but not play music. That is easy to handle with an aftermarket gizmo though.

I think folk on here have used this, although I have never tried it:

With both an iPhone and a Android, the music comes into the car from the analog port (headphone jack). The USB slot does nothing on most iPhones, except offer you control over the phone - hence the Y cable. The USB end controls the phone, the analog headphone jack is what delivers the sound.

There is a poster lurking around (Technic) who has forgotten more about the infotainment system in the E9x than I'll ever know.

If it were me, I would not even mess with it. I would just move all my music to a USB flash key, stick it in the USB slot, and never think about it again.
