No oomph

Quick description:

When the gear shift is in drive (not in sports drive), at times the car feels sluggish. Around town, I'm having to use sports drive to get enough power to get around. Is there anything that can be done to rectify this?

Thanks in advance.

Matt

Thanks for that. I don't know whether it is a placebo effect but god it is running so much smoother. Thank you so much for the suggestion!
