335 ix questions

Thinking between 335xi and 328xi, 2010 or 2011

Is it worth to pay $3-5k extra for 335 vs. 328 with all other things being equal? I drove a Mazda3 2007 before and was very happy with the car. I now drive a G37 (loaner) and it feels really fast -- perhaps a bit too fast for my taste...

As far as high pressure fuel pump failure on the N54 engine on 335xi -- what does it mean for me if I am buying a certified pre-owned vehicle? Does it mean that it's a good idea to shell out extra $3k for the extended warranty up to 100k miles/6 years?

They say that you can buy a $500 chip tuning (or whatever it's called) which will "flash" the car and make 328i almost as powerful as 335i. I am sorry, I know next to nothing about cars and don't know how certain things are called. In any case, is that true -- the chip tuning thing? If yes, will the engine/parts be wearing faster? Will it void the warranty?

Thank you for reading.

There isnt much engine tuning for a 328. A 335 has twin turbo, and you will not get a 328 to be as fast. Test drive both of them and see which will fit your needs better.

I think you got that wrong the chip or tune a 335i to get pretty close to a M3. but not 328 to a 335.
