If you get Xenon headlights (the standard option), the LED coronas will still be round, for the LCI. Only with the full LED light option do you get squared LED coronas.

Man I'm excited.......ever since the hp bump for the 550i was announced I decided to wait. My impatience may cost me though, doubt many deals will be available on these at first. I wonder if it will be possible to lease a loaded-to-the-gills 550i (80-84k sticker) for 800-850 when they initially hit the market?

I think not.

A friend has a black BMW convertible with a dark brown interior, it's a very attractive combination IMHO.

Interesting that Luxury Line and the Individual Package can be ordered the same time. However, it doesn't seem to be a smart investment since both packages come with a leather-upgrade and 19" wheels. Seems very strange though...

The 2014 535i, built as I want it, is coming $2200 cheaper than an equally built 2013
I think it's mostly because Nappa is now included in the Msport and the driver assistance package makes those included items much cheaper.

Well, I will be waiting for the 2014 then. I really want the mocha leather.

I found it interesting that they reconfigured the Driver Assistance package (ZDA), removing the Blind Spot Detection and top/side camera, moving them to the Plus package (ZDB) for another $1900. ZDA was a good deal in 2013, but I'll probably just order at the option rather than package level and forgo blind spot monitoring since its not available as an option.

Thanks for this info. I did have to go out of state to get the $750 over invoice. The local dealers in Dallas would not budge below $2000 over invoice.

If production starts On July 1st, how soon can they be ordered through the dealership? I can't see springing for a 2013 with a 10% power increase coming...

A few of us already have orders in with production numbers for the 2014's. If you're looking for the 550i's, they'll start production in August.

I recently ordered a 2014 535i xDrive and got a European Delivery date of Sep 2, 2013. I was told this is the earliest I could get...

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I better get cracking. I've always negotiated against dealer invoice when buying new cars, but have never done a factory order. What does the negotiation process look like with a new factory order? I'm planning on a loaded 550i. Can I find wholesale pricing anywhere since edmonds won't have the '14 yet?

I can't use the configurator for a 2014 550i yet... Assume I need to work out options manually with the order sheet in this thread?

I found that invoice (at least for my 2014 535i) is 92% of the MSRP for the base Price of the car and 91% of MSRP for packages and options. If you want to get really precise, round to the nearest $5.00.
Be sure to add MACO, Training, and Destination.
YMMV, but this formula gave me exact invoice numbers.

ZDA is blank for the 550i. Is that just a typo or is it included at no charge? I plan on ZDB as well, just not sure what the package cost for both will be.

The standard features section of the 2014 pricing guide shows the main components of ZDA (rear view camera and park distance control) are standard on the 550. It doesn't specify whether the other components of ZDA (610 Head up display and 6WA instrument cluster) are standard, so it's confusing.
It does appear that ZDA is standard on the 550 because there's no way to order 610 or 6WA individually.

It looks like HUD and 6WA require the executive package. I planned on buying that anyway, so should be in good shape.... even though it's a lot to pay for those wonderful soft close doors!

Guess I found an error!

Unless the extended Merino leather is now a stand-alone option on 535 and 550 xDrive models - which I highly doubt - BMW screwed up the order- AND pricing-guide..

If you want the 550i with a manual, CALL BMW AND LET THEM KNOW. The only reason there is an M5 with a stick is customer feedback. I'm hoping for the same outcome from us 550i/6-speed drivers.
I just ordered one of the last 8 MY 2013 550 M-Sport cars for this very reason no manual transmission in 2014. I do like some of the color combos for MY 14 better and I like the refreshed look but for me no manual is a deal breaker. So glad I got a MY 13

Need Help!!!

Ok so a bit of bad karma has come my way. I just posted a note to the forum this morning saying how glad I was that I got one of the last 2013 550i in manual and the dealer called me at lunch and said that my production number is in fact a MY 2014 car and the factory refuses to make it in manual......

When I ordered the car we look at the allocation schedule together and there were 8 cars in status 112 for MY 2013 and I supposedly got one of them. All the sudden my production number went from status 112 to status 105 (they never go backward) and when the dealer called the factory they were told it was a 2014 model (at least that is what the dealer told me)

Now the dealer is saying they may be able to price protect me on a 2014 model but that means no manual. As funny as this may sound I was cross shopping the 550 with the S4 and the CLA 45 AMG. The CLA doesn't come in manual and I can't get an S4 in manual for reasons I won't go into (wife).

Any thoughts here? Should I call BMW NA and raise hell? Should I ask for price protection and something else and just relent to the flappy panel gearbox like everyone else?

Really? How much money are you spending on that car? Is it OK that you have to "settle" for something you don't exactly want when you spend that much money?

Walk. But make sure they know why you walked away.

I got to see the LCI up close and personal at BMW HQ at the CCA event this Friday. We also saw the new X5 and the 4.

The changes were not huge of course. The front fascia, a little bit on the rear. Inside the new touch iDrive controller, a little extra chrome accents around the nav screen. This model was a loaded 550. It had adjustable side bolsters and the Mocha interior and the black leather dash. LED headlights and foglights.

For me, the changes in options, colors, the 45 HP, and the minor styling changes, I can say I will probably get another F10 after my lease ends.

To be honest, not overly impressed with the new X5. Exterior was better looking in person than it was in pictures, but not too exciting. The quality of the interior was lower than expected. It's possible that it was just an early production model, but the interior door panels were of a very low quality. We'll have to see on the final models if they improve that. I was considering the X5 as my next car, but I don't think it will be now.

The 4 was hot looking. Even though the interior of the show models did not carry over to production, it has the F30 interior. Still, very attractive and sporty.

Leather dash is something I really wanted, it gave up in with the 550i. I'm ordering a loaded sport line 550i. Possible to get leather dash without Individual?
