Lease take over of 2013 535xi

Hi I wanted to take over the lease on this 2013 535 , however the current mileage is 12k with 28 mths left . Is this a good idea ? With 12k miles what should I be looking at before the take over . Also what maintenance should be done before I take this over ?

Just inspect the car and if you find it acceptable, then take it. You can take the car in for service yourself even though I don't think any service will be due yet.

What are the terms if you don't mind me asking? I recently did a Lease swap. Are you supposed to pay any money "down", or are you simply taking over the remaining payments?

Also, how much are the payments?

No money down . They are offering an incentive and might be willing to also help with getting some more miles . Payments after incentive would be at around $735!

I think you can do better on the new car from the dealer. I'm being quoted $645 including tax (with MSD's), 36 months / 36K miles for 535xi that is being build. theoretically you can do a bit better on the car that is on the lot already.

MSRP $62,125 - bank fee in the payment, $750 loyalty credit, 1st mo, $300 plates, $350 doc fee. No rear intertainment, no M and no Tech. Plus 7 x $650 = $4550 security. State of NJ also requires %0.4 luxury tax - another $230 or so up-front.

Don't forget there's a transfer fee as well.
If miles is a concern for you then you can always buy more miles at 16 cents per mile with BMWFS.
