my soft spot for m30 cars just got softer.

If i had the disposable income to drop 2900 or close I'd bite.

But my e34 would get jealous. For I'd swap everything on mine on to yours.

good luck with the sale. Someone will pick it up.

any rust?!?

What type of cold air intake, any significant differences in power or accelaration?

Now young man... do not fall prey to the notions of bolt on power for your 535

That looks like a hot air intake to me. The cone is right above the exhaust manifold. The stock system positions the airbox further forward and draws cold air from behind the headlights. I assure you, the stock one is far superior from a performance standpoint. The cone filter will sound better though, no argument there.

To the OP, SWEET 535, good for another 200k. If I didn't already have one, I would buy yours. Shouldn't take you long to sell, summer is here and your car looks great and is priced realistically

Ditto, I wish the previous owner would have left the original airbox and filter there. It was already there when I bought it so I don't notice any difference in performance and definitely not in mileage

The 535/5 had a 3.46 stock. I think the 3.91s come out of a 525.

Stock was 3.46, the 3.91 is from an Automatic, a swap the previous owned did.

Man I don't know. Car was fine. no roughness, idled fine, drove smooth.
Next thing I know Bang.

I limped it home (lucky I lived less than 3 miles from the failure incident)
Open the hood, no leaks, smelled some coolant.
Opened the valve cover both intake and exhaust rockers gone. I'm going to guess they loosened up after my adjustment a month ago.
Going to pull the head and make sure the piston and the block is fine.
Looking for a new head just in case. If block is shot. Parting out the car.

Bad part about it. That little voice inside told me to redo the adjustment.
But everything was spec across the board so I didn't.

I'm sad, ashamed, and angry all in one. Should have listened.

Hate to see you do that.

But....

If you do I'll take all four rubber door seals, the starter, and trunk lid,
Euro trim and possibly some other things.

If you're gonna part it out, I'm game for a few items... chip, Eibach Sports, short shifter, clears, and some other bits and bobs.
