Introducing Booberry, daughter of Bob

Hello All,

As Bob was retired a few months ago he gave birth to our newest family member Booberry.

I now present to you Boo and the trip she took with the Roommate (TM) and me in Germany and Switzerwland.

Love the MSport bumpers and that color! Good looking car.

You looked so serious and calm in some of the pictures at BMW... I think I'd be nothing but an excited blur pacing around if they tried to get a photo of me.

Congratulations again. Now, after all the hoopla toned down and you had a few night to sleep on it ... would you do European Delivery again? What were best and worst (short) points on it?

Also, did apple fall far away from a tree or not? Meaning, how does Booberry compare with Bob?

It's serious business! I was ecstatic but sometimes slowing the process allows me to froth at the mouth a bit more. I wanted to get all the information in. There were tons of smiles and jumping up for joy. Mind you I went to work on Friday, then got on the plane, and then got to the Welt. No sleep.

I would definitely do the ED again. Show up during the week to get the factory tour.

Difference: Handling is a bit looser (both were x-drive, Bob was tighter). Bob naturally sat at 80-85MPH. Boo naturally sits at 100-110MPH.

Other then that it's a similar experience and well worth the upgrade.
Things I would like to see:
1) If you get m-sport and x-drive together they either give a discount or give DHP for free
2) That nav screen should go down when the engine is shut off. I can see some crack head breaking into my car and trying to rip it off thinking it's a stand-alone gps
3) Remove the stupid speed limiter (technically Bob goes faster then Boo) or put on better tires (no reason they needed to buy all seasons with 131 top speed rating especially since this is m-sport)
4) The drivers assist is great, but the lane assist triangle is placed just at the edge of my peripheral vision (i have excellent vision) so it's hard to notice. THey should have added it to the dash. The steering wheel vibration is great.

Overall this is an upgraded ride. I can't wait to try the HK stereo without the Roommate (TM).

Worst part of the trip...no bad points, just as I said before, don't overplan. At most I would say plan your hotels and one thing to do per stopping point. Consider staying 2 nights per location, though be careful cause some points only need one night (e.g., Andechs needs one night). Be adventurous and decide what you want to do when you get there. We decided the Interlaken mountain portion when we got to Interlaken.

Looks beautiful, Furbster! Enjoy it, and drive it long and in good health!

I loved the photos of you and your SO clowning around in Europe too. Really fun to look at.

Excellent looking ride furb. Also, you live in an area where crackheads would go into your car? Nice, must be fun around summer-time with all the parties going on eh?

Also +1 for washing the car WHILE on vacation in another country.

Booberry will be getting onto the Independence II and leaving Germany on 6/2. Expected arrival 6/22. Still needs to confirm, but expecting to pick up a week later.

Hey Furby. It is hilarious how you call your girlfriend the Roommate (TM). I am guessing the TM stands for trademark?

Yes. My lawyers are drafting up letters for you to cease and desist from using my trademarked phrase. Failure to do so will result in me sewing you

Hey easy there with all of the sewing. No need to get all hostile. BTW...call up your lawyers and tell them not to bother since I am a lawyer. I will tell myself to cease and desist and send you my bill for drafting your letter to me. To make it better I will give you a courtesy 20 percent Roommate discount.
