I have used the 3M kit as well. It works great! Just take your time. The more you sand the better it will look when the process is complete.

Your wife's car looks great! Where did you find the silver undercarriage protector on the front bumper?

Thank TMV the headlights are on the list. Complete replacement since one of the has a broken seal somewhere and the condensation forms from the inside. There are a few things higher on the priorities.

Bought it from BMW. It's discontinued/NLA (no longer available)
I took it off and sold it already.
We put that 3.0i back to stock for sale now.

^I would suggest you to call them before placing an order. I have other members (one of them work at BMW plant in S.Carolina) on Xoutpost run a nation-wide search for it, and it shows 0 available in the U.S. None of the BMW dealership can get one now, so I don't think Pelican can.
Since it says special order Genuine part from BMW, my money would be on "I'm sorry this part is NLA" after you place the order.

I just checked online and my order is being processed to ship along with a welcome gift. I would still recommend waiting until I receive a tracking number or the part itself before making an order yourself just to be on the safe side. I spent about 10 total hours searching for this part so if it is a hoax I will be extremely upset.

I emailed and called them concerning my order and here is a portion of their reply: "thanks again for your order - yes, this item is currently available for us to order from BMW. It should arrive here within the next 2-3 business days. Thanks again!"

Thanks for the info on restoring the headlights. We used the Turtle Wax product from Supercheap, not drill just elbow grease.

Thrilled with the results.

Before photo has masking tape to protect paintwork. Half an hour later...like new!

Yes, Kalahari is a good theme for places with hot summers! Perth would have to be one of the hottest cities on earth in the summer, so using the special function to open the sun roof and bring down the windows at the same time is a great way to cool the interior.

New ride added to the family on Friday. I'll take my own picks this week. These are from the previous owner. She is sweet!

Thank you. I'm one lucky (and very happy) buyer. I'll start a new thread about the build with pictures and shop references shortly.

That burnt orange colour, the black grill and wheels are SeX5ational! This is a makeover job done in great taste. Please send us more pics and what work was done.
