MK2 question

This question is about the dumb accept screen...
I have a MK2 that is running v29. the Accept screen come up every time i start the car, and WILL NOT go away until i hit the button.
I had read that after v28 it was suppose to go away on its own after a few seconds.
but it will stay there for hours if i leave it alone.

I have tried downgrading it to v18 then back to v29 and it still remains

should never had tried to update it... it was running 2-1/30 (very old v14) and the accept screen only came up when activating gps... now on 2-1/81 it is every dang time i start the car!

so the question is.. is there a better FW to be running? or what versions do i use to do the downgrade hack? or am i just SOL?

The info that refers to getting rid of the Accept Screen...I believe only refers to the MK3 & Mk4..here's a link to a page that discusses the various Nav OS (operating systems)...you can read thru it carefully to see if gives any indication that this also applies to the MK2: http://www.xoutpost.com/articles/all...ystem-faq.html
