How to change lighter tray in center console?

Hi guys, I've attached a pic of what I need to replace. The pic shows the new part. My dad spilled coke all over the center console, and as a result, the lighter socket sticks and rarely opens. I bought a replacement part, but don't want to just go in blind and try to take panels off and such, in fear that I may break something.

So how should I go about doing this? Can the wood trim (huge piece) around the shift knob and ashtray and such just be popped off? Also, I see the screws behind the cupholders, do these need to come out as well?

TIA.

Simpson

Ok, so I gave it a shot. Shift trim out easy. 3 screws. Cup holders, not so easy, there was another little piece which I broke. To get to the lighter part, I have to remove the entire HVAC surround. I have to order a new part anyways. I don't want to pay the stealership to install this, but I may have to.

Ok, I got it. I had to remove the HVAC control panel, and then take out the lower portion of the dash. The part I broke was the cover for the cup holders, and I decided not to use it. Everything works fine, so it's done.

Thanks,

Simpson
