What do you NOT like to see in a Craigslist Ad for a bimmer

Just post things that you don't like to see in ads

What do you NOT like to see in a Craigslist Ad for a bimmer

I never checked Craigslist when looking for my car, but I have browsed. Here's a list of what bothers me

-When one dealer posts multiple ads
-Price is not listed
-"Looks and drives like new" I'll be the judge of that, thank you very much.
-no pictures
-No list of options
-when the car has a picture of rims but they didn't specify whether you get those rims or the stock ones

I don't like to see false vehicles. Especially when the owners claim that they are the very model they try to emulate.
They always look dreadfully horrible, something like this:

This and when they don't disclose mileage

When they say the "check engine" light has been on for a year but it runs fine.

No pictures / vague.... As if craigslist isn't sketchy enough.
Multiple ads...... the more ads you have, the less i want your car.
Non-real pics.... Using other peoples pics of your similar ______ and using them to sell your _____ doesn't help.
15 second photo shoots... Clean the car & get a good camera or at least put some effort into it.
Contact info... Happens more than you think.
Title info... So many ads are just "540i" or bmw... Iuno, i go into CL expecting at least [ YR - brand - model ] guess its too much to ask
BS.. BS.. BS.. Tell the sad truth about the car and don't waste my time / $$.
CAPS!... CAPS DON'T MAKE THE LISTING BETTER, MY EYES ARE FINE.
Info... Know what your selling.. Hows that 1998 525i V6 BMW with the triplostep transmission, aye?
$1 titles / misleading price... $1000!!!LQQK "down payment"... F$#@ you.
Babied... I like to think the exact opposite.
Dealer words... I can read between the lines. "SPECTACULAR bad trans PERFECT!"

Pictures that are obviously not the same as the car described. I've actually seen a picture of my own car in an ad to sell a 2000 540.

"M5 package" on a sport package 525, 528, or 540
Sport package when it clearly doesn't have it.
"cleanest 5 series you'll find under $10k" - uh huh
dirty cars asking a premium price. Spend the time/money to detail it, vacuum out the interior and clean the carpets at least. This really goes for any vehicle you're selling, regardless of price, but especially true if you are asking near or over retail.
"clean!" on cars with obvious body or interior defects
no pictures of the interior or engine
"no phone number, no reply" - I'm a busy person, I don't have time to sit around on the phone talking to someone. I can email late at night when it's too late to call someone. Also, I talk on the phone all day long, last thing I want to do is talk some more.
"transmission just removed by mechanic, new one will cost $x,xxx. I'm just buying a new car instead, so I'm selling this" - On top of this you ask nearly regular market price and completely have immobilized the car. Now it's a crapshoot to see if anything works. Don't take the trans out and then decide to sell it. Sell it with a bad trans in the car or fix it. Maybe it was just a bad sensor...
"low miles!" - IMO anything over 100K shouldn't be considered low miles. Just say what the mileage is, the buyer can determine if it's low enough.
Ads with no mileage listed
Ads with no price
key words in the ad that have nothing to do with what I am looking to purchase. use relevant key words if you must have them. When I'm looking for a BMW wagon, I'm not interested in a Civic or an F150. Now I have to search titles only because the number of incorrect matches can outnumber correct matches by 2:1 or more.
Ads that don't show the front of the car., but show the sides, rear, and interior. What are you hiding?

The majority of Craig's adds look to be written by people who know nothing about cars especially BMW's. They often don't list mileage, anything useful about service history, if the car has been
in any accidents, post pictures of cars that are dirty, selling for a "friend" who is not around, can't answer even the most basic of ownership questions etc etc...

"Car is a literal rust-bucket, and the wheels may fall off at any given time due to the extreme concentration of rust like particulation in nearly every moving and working portion of the vehicle...aside from that though the vehicle is in EXCELLENT SHAPE. Must see to belive, a real steal!"

I've seen worse. Someone was selling one with an inline V6!! I would love to see that. I actually called on an ad that said it has a V6 so I asked what engine was installed. The seller said it's stock. I said you should be selling that thing for ten times what you are asking because you have the only V6 BMW in the world. He suddenly became fluent in French at me and hung up.

Or when they say "fast car", why say this. Most of the time it's a 528i. It's not that fast. But even on m5s they say "fast car". That's irrelevant. What's fast to one person could be slow to another. Most people know bmws are performance cars you don't need to brag about it.

Also I say a limited addition 325i. Where do I start? A 325i isn't rare. BMW never markets stuff has Limited edition. Also really it's edition not addition.

Not BMW but I HATE when I see an Eddy Bower Expedition. How can you be selling something and not even have the slightest clue on how to spell the name right?!!

The ad that says BMW cheap! And then proceeds to leave out all minor details like mileage, series and year. I also like the ones that have 5 year old pics.
