X6 E71 / E72 (2008 - 2014)
The BMW X6 luxury crossover went on sale in April 2008 as a 2009 model year. BMW referes to the X6 as a Sports Activity Coupe (SAC) as it combines the attributes of an SUV (high ground clearance, xDrive and all-weather ability) with the stance, styling and roof line shape of a coupe. The E71 X6 was built off the E70 X5 (2007 - 2013) platform at BMW's Spartanburg, SC plant. Total worldwide sales were just over 235,000, sold mostly to the BRIC countries. US total sales was 34,082 vehicles.

2014 X6 I Drive New Version

Does anyone have any info on whether or not the 2014 Model X6 will have the new and updated I Drive 4.3 version with the touch pads on the I Drive knob? Also will it have the updated Nav System? We are having trouble finding out is the unit that we just ordered will hae it...seems that the Cust Serv Reps at BMW when asked just go from a script and keep saying go ask you Dealer.and they have no idea.

ZZ6938: I was afraid that would be the case....if they add it maybe it will get into ours that is on order. QUESTION do you have an updated navigation system in your X6? We have a 2013 335i convertible and the nav system is lousy; cannot even locate our house nor even the dealership, anywhere from 1 mile to half mile off. Was told that they are updating the system...hope it makes it into our new "14 X6 335i.
Thanks for your response.

I had the 2013 F10 535 before the 2014 X6. The nav and the idrive software on the 2013 was newer version than that i have in my 2014 X6.

All new updates that will be coming to 2014 cars pertains to idrive and nav pap etc... will be in the new F platform cars. Our cars are cool to drive but they are sitting on an old E71 architecture.

I hope you get what you wish for, but reality is that , my car was in production april 2013... one of the first 2014 models. I can assure you the system on that car is same as my outgoing 2011 X5.
