how can i pair my i phone to my x5

i have x5 2001 and not sure how to pair my i phone to the car? can it be done.

Depends on if you have a BT module installed. BMW didn't offer them on the e53 until the 10/04 build date-up...so if you don't have the required pkg from BMW...then you'd need to check into aftermarket solutions:

Several aftermarket solutions, consider bavsound.com's version; there are several others, if your goal is to integrate your iphone/ipad into the OEM radio system, not just connect via bluetooth [if you can do that ...].

Depends, if your X5 has the in-car phone cradle system from BMW already installed, then you can add the BMW BTU module. But like in my case, if you don't have that installed, it's a PIA to try to retro add it to the BMW. Best bet is to go aftermarket, as others had said. Problem is the X5 does not have a mini jack for the stereo system, so most aftermarket systems will be using their own mics and speakers.
