BMW UK Configurator for GT is now online

It's been in various states of not working over the week but it's now got the LCI:

I use that on occasion to check out things...unfortunately, for those of us in the USA, the options and standard features are not the same, nor are all of the options available at all. It can be disappointing if you configure it just like you'd really like it then find out you can't have it that way in the USA. The good thing is our 'standard' vehicle has more options, and we have a MUCH lower tariff and taxes, so the vehicle costs considerably less.

It can get even more disappointing if you look at the German site and see how much more they can pick and choose their options. Personally, I'd love the extra couple of inches of headroom both front and rear (the cutouts are there, but annoying) without the panoramic roof, which you can delete in Germany (and not too many other markets).

Considering you have a choice of I think 3 or 4 different diesel engines in the UK on the GT, it's even more disappointing we'll not get any on the GT (although they've added it to the 5-series sedans for the USA). I guess any progress in that front is still progress.

Yes, it was useful to confirm what color some of the cars in the announcement photos were. The gray one was not the new Callisto but rather a European Sophisto Gray. Three grays and a silver, two whites and all the various blacks or colors that at 30 feet may as well be black.

Scratch. The configurator isn't online. All they did was update the photos to be that of the LCI
