The nozzles are part of the Cold Weather package. Depending on your area and whether there are some cold days/nights, you may want to opt for the heated seats. Price is $500 USD.

Good to see you on the forms again 330Indy! I can confirm that the cold weather package does not come with spray nozzles on the bumper. That was the sole reason I did not order it on e92. I had it on my last M3, and, if you had a relatively clean car and they went off for one reason or another they sprayed the juice all over your hood.

I hear you, mine is currently floating across the Atlantic, but the ED was a blast. I ordered a similar config, no CWP, but heated seats -- no bumper warts, confirmed =) Also, I was somewhat surprised to find out, based on other posts, that even without the CWP, both of the rear seats fold down fully and there is complete access to the trunk. There is no metal 'hole' in the middle or anything else that I've heard described in previous models. Just some additional FYI in case you'd read the same.

Yup, will do. If I find out before you do, I'll definitely pass it along.

As I do with all my car purchases from Germany, I'll be tracking this one every step of the way.

I suppose I missed the boat, heh. Build status site still says Production End for me.

Congrats on getting on the way.

Yup. That's what I meant. Still sitting at the port, waiting for a boat.

The wait is agonizing, but expected.

You think there's any chance we get it before the end of July? Or more specifically, it gets to California by then -- even if it doesn't arrive at the dealer until later.

Tough to say. I can't remember exactly how long it took my MB (shipped from Germany) to get to the VPC, get prepped (no changes were done at the port, unlike with our incoming M3's), clear customs, and make it to the dealer. I believe it was ~16 days from initial loading on the boat.

Given that it's July 9th already, even if our cars get loaded today/tomorrow, and given that we both have port installed accessories on order, I think it'd be a stretch for the cars to arrive at the dealer before the end of the month. Arrive at the port in SoCal? Much more likely. I suspect they'll sit there for several days, though.

As a reference point, my car was delivered to the NY/NJ VPC. It took 16 days on the water and 7 days from VPC to delivery at the dealer. I believe West Coast deliveries would add another 3-4 weeks (I guess depending on the traffic through the canal and weather). My estimate, if leaving the port of exit today, you would have it at the dealer by late August.

Side note, if ED delivery, this could add another 1-2 weeks for customs inspection.

Scary possibility, my car sat at the port of exit for 37 days.....
