M44 with DASC hesitation

Looking for any input from someone that has experience with the DASC.

My car generally runs quite well except when it's pushed and/or has the air conditioning on. Then it seems to have a hesitation or perhaps... a power interruption. Air conditioning magnifys the issue.

Any suggestions where I should start looking? Fuel pump? Ignition coil? Spark plug wires?

The literature that Downing Atlanta supplies indicates that the system should run fine without any upgrades to the electrical or fuel prep system. It could be completely unrelated??

Wires and coil pack arrived today. It'll probably give me about a 50% hp boost - at least

New wires from Bavauto and new coil pack installed yesterday. Runs like a dream. It's not a hugely noticeable difference but it seems smoother when it's pulling hard in the upper rpm range.

These wires are an upgrade and are supposed to give an increased spark. They also have thicker insulation so they were a tight fit in the channel guide.

I think I'm done spending $$ on the car for this year.

Excellent to hear! Did it remove the hesitation?

And best of luck not spending more money on it this year.

It's hard to tell as I only took it for a brief test drive. My initial impression is that it did not completely eliminate the hesitation but it did seem to smooth out the rpm range - as in it "pulls" smoother (if that makes any sense).

I'm starting to believe that the hesitation is a function of the DASC's AFPR. It's really not that bad.

I'll live with it for the rest of this year and maybe look into it some more when I pull it out of storage next year.
