Question 1989 325i Basketweave cetercap needed

Hey all,
Took my beloved 325i to a local mechanic, new to me here in Sacramento. "AUTO HEAVEN" Igor & crew......bought new tires for the front, had my control arm & bushings installed. (purchased them at Autohausaz). Upon retrieving my car I failed to notice they had not replaced the centercap to my right front rim. ORRRRRR they did not tighten it after they pushed it in. Got home no cap. Also they neglected to notice I had custom valve stem caps, of course they were not there either.
Back to AUTO HEAVEN and Igor to get my basketweave cap and crome valve stem caps. Got some nonsense about "really those caps were important to you?" Well,uh yes, they found them & put them on. The center cap was another story or two or three. From "Igor claiming he put it on himself and tightened it down, so it could not possibly come off in transit...to maybe it was never there. (I just detailed my car myself, it was there, always has been since I've owned the car), to "it was probably loose, you know they wear out" etc. Really??????I showed up to your shop, you replaced my tires, IE: had to remove the caps...I drove home and had no cap. Sure you have, reluctantly, after I insisted, offered to find me a replacement with the comment, "we have to find the right color", like it is a hard thing to do!!!!, Hey you F'd up and lost it, get me a replacement!!!!
SOOOOOOO, does anyone out there have a basketweave centercap? Resource for one? Thanks for reading to my rant. Happy driving!

I believe he/she's talking about the whole lock-on cap with the weave pattern, not just the chrome center cap with the Roundel that fits the bottle cap wheels.

Red, there are several on eBay. Make sure they are correct for your wheel. There is more than one type/size.

If it IS the chrome cap rather than the weave, I have one you can have for the price of postage.

The cap I have available is the chrome one dirtx posted the picture of, not the lock-on weave cap like you need for your style 5 wheels.

Well you didn't say if it had 14 or 15 inch wheels but it doesn't matter www.bavauto.com (Bavarian Autosport) carries them they came on an 325is or ix originally depending on 14 or 15 and they cost around $65.00 + shipping

Morning fellow e-30 lovers. Just a follow up on the "looking for basketweave center locking cap"
This would be funny if it was not so pathetic....I went to check on a new local mechanic for my car yesterday, Lubos in Sacramento. Lovely place & great people.
The mechanic spent a long time with me explaining some issues I needed clarification on. He also went to great legnth to find a basketweave locking hub for my car. We decided to look under my hood at the engine....we opened the hood.....Guess what was sitting on my engine....just lying there, YES< YOU GOT IT< MY LOST LOCKING BASKETWEAVE CENTERCAP! EEEEEEKKKKKK! The former mechanic who claimed he had "put it on himself, or it had never been there, or maybe it fell off," had really left in in my engine compartment. REALLLLY!
BTW the wheels are 14" & thank you all for your input. I am really happy I located the lost hub...whereever it was. Glad it did not cause any engine problems traveling around in my engine compartment for a few days. Happy weekend all!

I hope you at least called Igor and told him what an idiot / moron he is and made sure he understood why you and anyone you knew would NEVER have a tricycle serviced by them let alone a BMW . Good Luck with the new shop they sound like a big improvement .
