Question Head light bulb question

I have a 2006 325i
The drivers side headlight bulb is not coming on, all other lights work fine.
On the lens it says Dynamic Xenon D1S.

The way it appears to me is that you have to take the tire off and remove the plastic inner wheel ? or is there an easier way to replace the bulb?

Any idea on the bulb model / cost ?

Thanks

Head light bulb question

That is the easy way. The hard way would to be removing the headlight assembly by taking off the front bumper.

Head light bulb question

The bulb is a D1S. If I were you I would change both sides now.

It appears that OEM is 4,300K which means the color will be white. Sylvania and Philips make them or you can go with an off brand and take your chances. You can get on Amazon.com and the price varies.

If you want more of a blue color, check www.e92-lighting.com. Search for D1S. He sells Philips 6,700K or 8,500K for $179.99. He also has do it yourself installation links on the site.

+1. It is nearly impossible to match the color of a new bulb to an older bulb. Xenon bulbs change color over time, so even a factory bulb from BMW probably will not match.

here is a reference link to D1S and also install guides as well, its all error free and it will NOT damage your OEM ballast or we will buy one free of charge

thanks for the support, but i would suggest a name brand so it doesnt fry your OEM ballast, which happened numerous times with Ebay D1S bulbs
