Alcantara steering wheel

Does anyone have an alcantara wheel? Searched around and it seems people with f10 m5s have installed them. Would love to have one preferably with a flat bottom. Would appreciate any advise. Thanks

Heres a link to the m5 forum where there are quite a few variations. Im guessing its the same wheel as in f01.

I could never figure out what function a flat bottoms steering wheel serves. Is it for easier entry and exit? Is it for a racing purpose when making extreme turns? Is it just for looks? It does look more race car ish. But what purpose does it serve?

Alcantara steering wheel

Flat bottom is for ease of heel and toe, that is if you have a stick, of course.

Not sure on the function in such a car. On a race car I'm sure it would have an advantage. For me I'm just liking the look.

:d. How you liking the jb stage 1. Any downsides to it? Everyone seems to be happy with it. Plus no such thing as too much power. Any alternatives to dinan that provide better gains, as dInan seems to be extremely overpriced for just a tune.

Sorry never saw your post, I love the JB stage 1 and wouldn't hesitate on getting it again . Definitely noticeable and cures all the flats spots with incredible TQ trust under WOT . I have removed it to take the vehicle in for service and I must say it felt like an entirely different vehicle with lack of power And best of all $400

PS: took the vehicle on a 2600 miles road trip and no issues and best yet 22.8 MPG From Atalnta GA to Boston MA

Can anyone help me get a part number for this? Seems like it is a euro part. Spoke to my BMW dealer on friday and he said he cannot find it in the system and may be able to order from Europe if I can provide a part number.

Check out this link... I've ordered parts from Germany without any problems... You can email them in English. Don't think it's Alcantara but looks very nice (should be for price!). This is for wheel w paddle shifters... they also have without for same price. If you don't have the paddles, have BimmerTech code them for you;

Thats a nice wheel, but really looking for the alcantara. Found this from BMW
http://www.shopbmwusa.com/PERFORMANC...MANCE/STEERING

But none seem to be a fit for f01/02, or f10.
