What's your profession?
Not sure if this has been done lately, but there is a steady group of regulars here and i thought it would be nice to know your other life besides BMWs.... . I will start.

Just getting my PhD in Biomedical engineering at the University of Miami-Sch of Med. I split my time between trauma medicine and cardiology research

my research includes:

Novel methods of critical care monitoring in battlefield medicine for Uncle Sam
Non-invasive methods to prevent Sudden Cardiac Death

I enjoy teaching and am heading for an academic career in medicine/engineering.

I work for a company contracted by the Department of Education and I work w/ student aid and tech support for the www.fafsa.ed.gov and www.pin.ed.gov sites. Kind of a jack of all trades kind of guy. I'm going back to school for a degree in I don't really know what. If ya'll have any questions about the aid system, feel free to ask!

Lezzee, I have a MEEE and BSEE in Electrical Engineering from UVa; my business card says "Senior Staff Systems Engineer", so I guess that's what I am. I manage engineering programs for a large aerospace company here in Orlando.

Actually I always wanted to be a Quantum Mechanic, but the tools are too small.

Oh, and I like Melissa's pictures.

Semi-retired IT professional. I've moved from software design to hardware design to networking and datacenter design. I also do some photography (started as a hobby, have sold a number of prints as well as having some of my work on postcards, etc.)

For hobbies. aside from the obvious BMW and photography, I do some hiking and collect books and engineering documents. I had a museum show last year with some of my collection (tunneling in the NY area).

I'm a Software Engineer for a large international publishing company. I specialize in architecting Perl-based application front-ends for scientific research databases. 8 yrs of service, and somehow worth the 200 mile round-trip daily commute from NYC to Philadelphia to get to work.
