My transmission mounts are shot. But there's a... twist?

They look melted. Not even kidding. The rubber was gooping apart and could be pulled away by hand. They have roughly 60,000 miles on them and were some kind of "heavy duty" mounts, but still... how would a transmission mount "melt"?

Also... there's a good bit of clear liquid dripping out from the same area. I assume it's just water. It's clear and doesn't smell like anything.

Y CAR?! Y U DO DIS?!

Are the trans mounts hydraulic like the OEM motor mounts? Probably the melted look you are getting along with the liquid.

I could have sworn they were solid bushings... Also, the liquid wipes up like water, evaporates like water, doesn't stain anything, doesn't cause discoloration, etc.

I think I'll be going with Rogue Engineering or UUC mounts this time around. $55 for Rogue and $35 for UUC.
