Hello new to Raleigh-Durham -Cary area (looking for an in-expensive place for fix)

Hello folks,

I moved to RTP area a few weeks ago. I am need to get my E46(1999 323i) fixed, has been having a few issues i.e (Oil filter Stand Gasket, Vanos Oil Line, Rotors). Wondering if any one could guide me to a garage that is not expensive to get these fixed....?
Also how much should I be paying for Oil filter Stand Gasket, Vanos Oil Line & Front rotors including pads to get them fixed..?
Appreciate the response.

Ashley

Unless you get a personal recommendation from another `fester, this place sounds pretty reliable....check their customer reviews....

Here's a personal recommendation. This guy was awesome and cheap. He's a BMW STEP graduate.

For those in the Raleigh/Durham area, I used the following person to do some A/C work for me. HIGHLY recommended and very professional. Give this guy a shot b/c he's good and very knowledgable.

PM me for his email/phone #.

John Hinrichs...Damn, that sounds real familiar. Back in the `70s and `80s, there was a top-notch BMW race shop in Durham, called Miller & Norburn. I used to buy a lot of Alpina engine & suspension parts from them back when I was building my home-brewed M5 (before the M5 even existed).
Anyway that name jogged my memory, I think there was a guy named Hinrichs working at M&N back in the day. Next time you talk to Jon, ask him if he had any relatives who worked there.

Wild. I'll ask Jon and let you know. Jon is a young guy probably in his early 30s. Maybe it's a relative like you said.

We will see.

Hey Guys

I appreciate the recommendation Peter. I wouldn't necessarily say I was cheap, but I do provide fair pricing.

I enjoy working directly with clients and my goal is to create a foundation of trust between us. I've heard for years and years from people about how badly they needed a technician they could trust. I understand that need and strive to create it.

To FastBob; I am 33 so the likely hood that you knew me in the 70's isn't very likely.

Yeah, I did the math, Bucko

Which is why I asked if he was a relative of yours....

Addendum:

Just saw your intro post over on the other Forum. The Powers That Be around here consider that to be borderline SPAM.....they don`t want anybody soliciting business unless they become a `Fest Sponsor. If you see the potential to pick up enough customers here, that might be something to think about. Good luck !

That's right. My apologize. He was not a relative of mine. Most of my family lives in MN, which is where I'm from.

Looks like you're hooked up with a couple shops. FastBob is fast.

If you strike out there, we usually suggest bimrs.org and bimmershops.com.
