changed the coils and added a problem

So i think i know the answer to this question. Is it a bad ideal to buy a 6 coils and iridium plugs off ebay. Every so often i would have a misfire and sometimes i would hear a spark jumping noise.

So, i figured id buy a set from ebay,"New" of course. Mine looked to be original. So, now i have a slight hestitation.

For some reason, my cog wheel light would not come one the the next three days, but today it started coming back on. The cog wheel usually comes on when shifting from 1-2. The past 3 days it had straightened up and shifted great.

Should i have paid the extra and purchased the bosch coils?

NGK-BKR6EQUP is the correct plugs for these engines, and using anything else is like inviting trouble in your front door.

What king of plugs & coils did you buy ?

Why new coils ?

You weren`t wrong

What you bought was a guaranteed headache....the correct (NGK) plugs are important to the smoothness of these engines....nobody has identified exactly why, but that`s the deal, based on the experience of lots of Forum members. (Shop around....the NGKs are available for around $6 each most of the time)

Coils either work, or they don`t. There`s no benefit to replacing ones that are still working well....new ones don`t give you any performance advantage.
