Cool Attempting to upgrade to Angel Eyes Headlights

I have a 2011 BMW E90 328i Sedan.

I have the yellow headlights as of now, I was wondering if it is in any way possible for me to upgrades to the white angel eyes. I was reading around saying that if I have xenon headlights I can upgrade but If I have halogen I cannot.

I don't know which I have all I know is that under my hood on the headlights it does say LCI but no where does it say xenon or halogen.

If it is possible for me to upgrade, what are good possible options for me as far as the kit goes and where can I purchase them?

Thanks.

Do you have halogen lights or xenon (outer light looks like a fish eye and turns with your steering wheel)? You do have an LCI.

Look at his picture he posted, see how the bulb looks (the outer bulb), it's got a spherical shape. Those are are dead giveaway that they're xenon's. You've got Halogen lights (notice the bulb shape right in the middle?). Here's a picture of a Halogen assembly, maybe it'll be a bit clearer when comparing to the angle he has his image at. Notice how this one has vertical lines going down the inner part of the reflector on the outer ring?

I assume that you are looking to make the halo rings appear more LED-ish instead of yellow. Since you have halogen LCI lights that have halos, you have to search online for specific LED angel eye upgrades specifically for halogen headlights.

This is the type you should search for:

I bought my angel eye LEDs from E-92 Lighting.com and they work great. I believe the owner of the site is a member of this forum.

Did you take a look at the website? Do some research on your own, so you feel comfortable with your purchase. Also, check out the installation videos so you know what you have in store when they arrive. I removed the original lights and reinstalled them once before I received my bulbs just for practice.

I also have a 2011 328i (X-Drive with Navigation). Is it safe to assume that all the 328i's for 2011 come with the Halogen lights?

I too have that yellow light and am highly interested in getting it to be white like the newer bmw's seem to all have.

Sorry I just joined the forums today and am out of the country not presently with my car so was not able to go check my bulb myself.

No. If you know your VIN, you can plug it into any number of VIN decoder sites that will tell you what options your car has.

I have this site bookmarked, but have seen others I liked better...just cant recall the others off the top of my head.

As Al Bundy noted, you'll be best served checking your VIN online for options.

My setup is/was halogen and my manual states that the angel eye bulb is an H8. However, it is actually an H10 bulb which I still don't understand. E92 lighting is the only site that sells H10 angel eye bulbs. The headlights (casings) are manufactured by Valeo and the bulb types are all listed on the top if that's any help.
