New shocks/struts, but springs?

My '01 740i with the sport suspension is in need of shocks and struts (148k miles); however, I don't know if springs should be done or are in need as well. Perhaps the labor of shocks/struts is a big percentage of springs and such now is the time to do it? I am second owner for 5 years and 80K miles, 'old school maintenance schedule' from M. Miller is followed, and it is very, vary rarely loaded. Your thoughts please.

While your doing the struts do the springs too.

I'm sure you plan on using the car for a while.

As the springs have to be removed when replacing struts / shocks, consider replacing the springs with progressive units like Eibach - slightly lower and firmer ride, but a significant improvement in handling. Replace the upper spring bearings at the same time, and you'll be good for another 100,000 miles.
