15000 oil change and Issues

I wonder if all the engine issues related to oil, like the person that threw a rod, the vanos solenoids, valves ticking are all oil related to the 15,000 mile oil change,

I doubt the intake coking up with oil is due to the change interval

BUT

I will be changing mine at 5000 mile from now on!

well it may not be the 15000 miles, which i think is too long. (i do mine every 7,000 or so) but it could perhaps be the amount of oil people are losing in that time frame. so topping it off half way through needing a change is a good idea.
