This is false. The new BMWs use an LED system.

CORRECT ...

I'm confused. Can someone provide a clear definitive answer regarding which one is more inline with replicating the lighting effects of the newer BMW's?

Only a replacement of the rings (aka opening your headlights) will replicate (actually improve upon) the OEM effect.

Otherwise, drop ins only go so far.

Thanks for clearing that part up. However, Is that practical? How much would something like cost? I would love to see someone do a side by side comparison of the two (Drop-ins Vs OEM)
.That would help settle the speculation. That's one of the main reason that I myself haven't pulled the trigger on a pair. If it's not comparable it's not for me.

I asked PUNISHER who has the brightest OEM drop in if they are visible during the day and he didn't answer. On Umintza's website it says daylight visible. I want real world application He has them I want to know first hand if they are and hes not saying.

They look bright and you can see them but I guess they get washed out since they are only 6000k. I dont understand why they cant make a different rating like 12000k or 14000k. The new BMW's seem to be more on the purple side.

Hmmm I think I messed up

So I replaced my angel and low beam lights on driver side and no problem...

I go on to the passenger and got the headlights to move up like 4 inches..while putting on the new low beam bulb the little metal piece that tightens the bulb to the headlight comes off...not sure what its called but its the clip that keeps the bulb from coming lose...would I need to take the whole headlight out now to put it back on properly?

UPDATE:

well i ended up removing front bumper in order to get the headlight assembly completly out, what i taught was going to be a 45 min job ended up being close to 3 hours lol..removing the bumper was not as difficult as i taught, i spend most of my time adjusting the clip back into the housing. the labor of installing and removing the headlights are not that bad at all, plus me and my brother spend some quality bonding time working on it lol....all in all my new low beam lights and vtec3 angel lights look.....AWESOME!!!!

next repair: A.S.K unit ( gulp )
