De-Badge or not?

Considering taking off the "xDrive" emblem and the "750 Li" off the rear trunk. I am starting to like the idea of nobody knowing what it is. What do you think?

Which truck has the 750Li label on it?

I'm thinking about debadging... or maybe putting a 740i label on it... or maybe I can find a 730d (or something like that), haha!

I'm debadged. Much cleaner look. Highly recommend.

There was a story of an M5 in Europe with a 520 badge on it. I'm sure they did that just to smoke the unknowing!

Forget the 730d, put a 128i on it.

I would dump the X-Drive badge & keep the rest.

2nd choice would to leave the X-Drive badge on have fun with it and rebadge it as an X1.

In that vein, wouldn't you want to replace the BMW badges as well? Just extending a thought.

Honestly, I'm impartial and neutral. So I just leave it the way it is. I'm not too concerned about what people know about the car or not. I'm more worried about sticking out in a crowd - like having a memorable license plate or color. The last thing I want is to inadvertently piss someone off when driving aggressively and then have them damage my car when they recognize it. I use my car as a daily driver, and the only time I won't drive it is if I have to valet, or if I'm going to a very sketchy area of town.

LOL I was thinking of doing just that since I already have the 'd' from my debadged X5d

I had seen the Bimmian emblems and they are close but not the same. The don't look like the original BMW numbers and letters. I imagine there is a copyright on the exact font style.

I'm with you Chris. I 'inadvertently' piss people off a lot!

HAHA, I like that one. I have the almost the same one: "DROPOWT" (I thought the spelling was wonderfully ironic, also someone else took DROPOUT here in CA). Can't say I put it on a Lambo though Kept the plates.. maybe one day, one day!!!!!! :

I have debadged everything I have ever owned. Yes, I would remove the BMW emblems also if it didn't leave a indent in the sheet metal. I took the JEEP emblem off my unlimited rubicon. Love the clean look. I think it's something you are born with, like being gay, lol. The first thing I did when I got my very first car (1989 VW 16v GTI) was to debadge it. If you are not sure about it, I would just leave it be.

I saw a Sentra with a Vespa badge once. I wish I had snapped a pic of that one. Also saw a Volvo with an AMG badge!

I picked up the car today (pic's to follow ) and I had them remove the silly looking "xDrive" emblem and leave the 750 Li. The more I think about it, I am leaning towards wiping the slate clean and removing the 750 Li. I like the clean look and that is what is most important. Realistically, most people would not even notice that there was nothing on the back. For those that do, I guess they can scratch their head and wonder what it might be.
