Doesn't sound like this one was very well taken care of... almost as if the previous owner didn't have the money to do regular maintenance, or worse, didn't care. This is only a PPI too, no telling what else is lurking a few thousand miles down the road. If it were me, I'd keep looking. Better to wait for the right one, and spend a little more, than take one that has this many things that need to be fixed right away.

Best to move on. The car had free service till 50K miles & it reads like it was ignored. Will be a money pit.

Interesting thing is that it had two owners. First was a lease who turned it in a month before it was due with 25k. He had it in for service, according to Carfax, once a year. Next owner had it from 25k to now and serviced it every six months at a BMW dealer. Seemingly took care of it. However, it had not been serviced since March 2011 at 56k.

That last sentence should tell you something. Previous owner gave up. Keep looking.
