Need help! My BMW has no problems or issues and I fear it is not really an E90 BMW.

I read about all of the problems that BMW's have here on the forum and since mine is running great with no issues I'm worried that it is actually a rebadged Camry.

Should I take it to my nearest BMW dealer to authenticate it? Or maybe I should pour some sand in the engine to get that " authentic" BMW owner experience.

Once I got some electrical issues straightened out with the radio (first few months followed by reprogramming), my car has been great!

(Note sound of me knocking on wood.)

You should not be tempting fate this way…..…..be humble with your good fortune! It's nice to be a part of the majority though.

Your talking to a guy that got married on Friday the 13th. Of course it ended in divorce...14 years later. And it was a pretty good 14 years (at least from my perspective).

I was just making the point that people generally only post in forums when something goes wrong, which gives the (mostly false) impression that all of that make and model have problems.

I will piggyback on this one. 2006 330i full options MT with 51,000 mi. Just a rear window regulator so far that was an $80 part and 30 minutes of my time. My car is treated well, hopefully my car will continue to do the same. . Good to see success stories, reading this forum can scare the )$)@& out of you.

You should be aware that there is a lively trade in the business of "rebadging" used Lexus -- this profitable enterprise is expanding everywhere from its base in Chicago.

Mexican gangs, importing skilled Tiajuana mecánicas, are 'liberating' Lexus IS parked on any street, in every area. Quickly delivered to what by day are legitimate body shops, by night they do a booming business transforming IS to 335i in under 90 min.

Beware. Do have your ride authenticated, but be certain your authentication is not done by an organization associated with the owner[s] of the dealer from whom you purchased. If you suspect that you drive a fake, immediately contact your nearest FBI field office.

Gentlemen, this problem's spreading like Summer wildfire. Help the Obama administration stamp out this illegal activity! YOU can be the eyes and ears of Govenerment - please help!

Before you come here looking for help of this kind, you should have checked for missing codes.

Oh yeah, death. I submit to you that divorce is the better alternative.

I'd rather live to 80 be married for 50 years then die before divorce.

Good advice. Also I should have used the "search" function looking for "no problems", "running fine" and "totally reliable".
