This is easy as pie to find. Instead of shopping by "size" or by "model" (which can be incorrect since you'll find "sizes" & "models" that are WRONGLY listed on many sites.). It's best to shop by the BMW 11 digit part nbr. That way, if the seller/vendor has the wrong size or models listed...you'll know if its right for your vehicle by the part nbr that its suppose to be. I just looked at an ebay seller that has the e38 listed for this "smaller" roundel for it's trunk...and the seller even writes the listed models comes from BMW. Well, that is the furthest from the truth since the e38 7 series uses the same size Roundel for the hood & trunk...and its the larger size & different part nbr...yet this smaller roundel is being sold to e38 owners. If an e38 owner was looking for a roundel and found this sellers ad...they'd be buying the wrong emblem for their trunk...based on shopping by model only. Whereas if they shopped by the correct 11 digit BMW part nbr for their car...this site wouldn't have been listed. This is why I recommend to SHOP USING THE CORRECT BMW 11 DIGIT PART NBR.

Type the following phrase into a google or bing search box (or what ever search engine you prefer): BMW 51141970248 carbon fiber (I suggest removing the periods & hyphen and just use the 11 digits that make up the BMW part nbr)

You will get thousands of hits that are selling the correct trunk Roundel for the X5.

carbon fiber

I have replaced all my badges with aftermarket carbon fiber badges, the trunk is definitely 82mm on my '95 525i e34 the trunk seems to be larger but I was able to get an 82mm to fit by taking out the grommets and using a sealant. Also did wheel caps, steering wheel and even valve covers. Looks pretty sick.
