if Gas purchase is not an issue for you, its a great car, it doesn't appear to give a lot of mechanical headaches - go for it.

Car looks good, i would get the VIN checked first to get a full list of options the car has and then go from there. I see its a 2010 so it has the new CIC navigation the F10's have. The RPI extras are a plus.

Yep, I like the RPI extras as well. If you check the last picture of the autotrader ad, he has the original sticker with options:

Good looking car and low miles. That RPI alone is worth a good bit of coin. I have a base 550i and love it - I'm sure the sport w/ RPI would be even more fun!

The owner claims that he is the original owner but the Carfax says that there are two previous owners. Also, I am not a fan of the stock wheels painted black. All else looks good.

Opinions - 550i M Sport Purchase

I've got an RPI on my 545. It sounds absolutely beautiful - though I admit it was too loud until I put silencers in both tips (surely negating any performance gain).

The Carfax anomaly is definitely troubling. Other than that, it's a '10 550; a great car. If it's in good shape you will love it.

Yeah, I'll check into the ownership, I think it was an inter-family sale or something to that effect.

Opinions - 550i M Sport Purchase

Looks like great car and one I would buy if in the market (just bought a 550). Appears to have been owned by an enthusiast, so it's probably in good shape. But do get an independent inspection done (they are available online) by a reputable company before purchase. Love the color combo except for the black wheels - just can't like them on any car.

I LOVE my 550 with RPI goodies. The mileage on that car is reasonable and the options are good. I'd get that car, except I love my carbon black

thanks for all the input, right now im in a tough spot debating what i want to do. my current ZHP is jet black, which has slightly jaded me towards any black paint (even the metallics) simply because it has been so difficult to maintain (extremely soft if you've never owned a non-metalllic). i also really want to hold out for 3 pedals, but they are next to impossible to find, much less at a price that is competitive with some of the SATs...

Couple of things: 1. the SAT is pretty awesome but I get that you want to shift gears (owned several manuals in my earlier days).
2. I saw an post on the Corvette forum: "You don't own a black car... it owns you!" and I have to kinda agree, having been owned by a black/black Corvette convertible in the past. That being said, nothing looks as good as a clean and shiny black car, but there is a price to pay to enjoy that feeling on any sort of a regular basis :0)

It is very hard to find a manual, i had to have mine shipped from the west coast because i couldnt find any and i was looking for over 3 months. All i found a fully loaded one so i had to get it :-)

I agree, the manual is very hard to find. As batmbl said, the SAT is FUN!!!!! It is really the best of both worlds, it shifts faster than is possible with a manual when you want to play and it's still easy to drive in traffic. I love mine.
