Aftermarket Wheel

Every now and then I consider buying black or gun metal wheels for my space grey 09 335I E93. The problem is that I know I dont want to spend as much as it costs to buy original BBS or BMW wheels or something in a similar price range.
I usually look around cheaper after market wheels that cost close to a grand for a set of 4.

Are these types of wheels not recommended to put on the car? I guess what I really don't understand is that what differentiates a good quality expensive wheel from a cheaper not so good one?

thank you all in advance for the help

$1,000 for just the wheels will get you into the 'good' range of cast wheel manufacturers. Avant Garde, VMR, Beyern/TSW, etc. are solid picks in the $200-250 per wheel category but tires and TPMS will run the bill up a bit more.

If you're looking for the whole shebang for $1,000 or less you're going to be replacing bent and broken wheels every few months.

I am in love with these wheels as of right now! Those wheels with a black kidney grille and black license plate covers would be so beautiful!

know of a website where i can get pricing on those for 18's?

I have brand new rubber on my stock wheels right now and the TPMS so i guess i just need to switch all that to the new wheels. I am planning on installing the winter tires rubber on the stock wheel.

As long as you're matching diameters and the widths are close, you should be fine doing that.

Aftermarket Wheel

VMR VB3, V710's and V703's seem to be a popular aftermarket wheels. I like their Hyper Black finish. It's like chrome with black tint. I think it would look great on a space grey 3er
