e90 What else to repair while intake manifold off

First post in the forums. I have a 2006 330i Sedan with 127,000 miles. Had a BMW indy take a look at it because I want to drive it a long time. I was told to replace the thermostat and starter. I was stupid and kept driving until starter wouldn't turn. I went ahead and bought the starter, thermostat, water pump, intake manifold gaskets, and bolts. After 10 hours to take manifold out to reach the starter, I finally installed the the new part. I really don't want to do this again so I wanted to ask if there's anything else I should replace while intake manifold is off the car? Or when I take off the water pump and thermostat? Thanks

+1 on the oil filter housing gasket. But 10 hours for the intake removal. It takes 40 minutes on my 335i. What's up? Is the N54 that different from the 330i?

The starter is a huge pain in the ass to remove. A bit more in involved then just taking the manifold off.

This is my first involved repair I have ever done on a vehicle. Everything i took out or unplugged I documented and labeled so i put it back. Manifold is still off. replacing water pump and thermostat at the moment. picked up coolant($24) and oil filter housing gasket for ($16) from the dealer. The repair is not difficult it just takes a long time, and i have so many cuts on my arms reaching into small spaces. thanks for the help everyone.

Make sure you use distilled water when you mix that coolant.
